Work package 1 deals with Cancon's coordination

This work package is designed to manage and organise Cancon's work, to ensure that it is carried out as intended.

Cancon management consists of a project management team and a steering committee.

Project management team

This is an internal working group for the administrative and technical support of the project within the National Institute of Public Health, NIPH. 

Steering committee

The committee oversees the project as a whole. It has 15 members, and will meet six times throughout the course of the project. 

External cooperation  

External cooperation is ensured through the Cancon stakeholder forum. This includes people working on related projects and initiatives, as well as Cancon collaborating partners. The representatives meet once a year. You can find out more about particiption by contacting the project management team. 

Cancon meetings

• There are steering committee meetings every six months, held in unison with with the guide coordination committee (work package 4, Guide coordination) or member state platform (work package 5, Member state platform) meetings. These are organised by work package 4/5  to minimize travel budgets
• Cancon stakeholder forums meet annually (three meetings)
• Joint action meetings (for all associated partners) every nine months (four meetings)
